More About The Band
An ever evolving music project projecting from the Colorado front range and ranging musically from born again freak folk to downtempo death metal. An eclectic genre bending exercise in noise violation, the outfit has taken on a number of forms since its origin in 2018.
Sprouting from a quiet suburb in North Boulder, The Noisy Residents began humbly as an acoustic duo. After a year of touring and releasing the EP 3894, the original lineup fractured and it was time to move to a different sonic locale. What followed was the DIY Indie slop of the first full length LP, Keep It Down. Recorded entirely in basements and bedrooms across Colorado, and released originally as a 3 part EP, the album stretches for big musical diversity but is charmingly lo-fi.
Around the time of KID's release, new players started to make their way into the fold and a new era of TNR emerged. Currently a bustling mash up of 60's-70's era nostalgia, avant indie rock, and prog exclamations, the project seeks to establish a unique sound among the Colorado music scene and beyond. Hold My Guitars, the most recent single released in 2023, is a moody journey through one man's struggle with isolation and the relentless call of the wild.
